About

The Bold Bluffs are a Kalamazoo, MI based rock and roll band founded in 2024 consisting of four members and four dreams of rock and roll glory. Jimmy Jazz (lead vocals) was previously a member of the band Teeming Dreams based out of California. Jimmy made the decision to move back to Michigan to be closer to better support his family and was looking for an opportunity to keep creating music. Johnny & TA (guitar & bass) have been best friends since kindergarten and always shared a love of music and the dream to write and play their own. They both enlisted in the military after high school and put rock n roll on the back burner. After moving back to Kalamazoo they started performing around Michigan as Gold Coast. During this time they continued to write and look for a vocalist that matched the vision they had in mind for their songs. Luck would have it that Jimmy, Johnny and TA would connect and realize their collective vision for kick ass rock music was in alignment. The last puzzle piece was finding a drummer. Rubey was an accomplished drummer who had played all over the Midwest with his family band growing up. A friend of TA and Johnny they reached out to see if Rubey would come to a jam practice. At the first jam everything clicked and the Bold Bluffs have been writing, rehearsing and performing ever since.

While we play rock n roll, we have many interests and influences outside of a classic rock sound. The Bold Bluffs blend sounds of rock, blues, funk, soul, reggae, country and more with an emphasis on playing heavy. We hope to see you at future shows and share our music with you!
